Internal Patient Survey Results- Making improvements!
The results of our patient survey carried out in practice have been published (returned surveys from May to September 2022). The surveys continue to be available to patients to complete on a rolling basis.
Thank you to every patient who has completed and submitted one—your feedback has been exceptionally helpful!
All the wonderful messages of thanks and support you have given to us about staff and the positive feedback has given our hardworking team such a morale boost and we hope this will continue!
We have identified some issues with our telephone system (call queues most notably) and we have run reports on our system to measure the impact of the changes we’ve made internally so far which include training and additional call handlers. Our reports tell us that most of our calls are answered in under 9 minutes—a significant improvement.
Please remember that we receive around 600 calls per day and some days are busier than others but we are doing our very best to make things better for our patients. Read the report
Feedback is not just about telephones—we are making lots of improvements and our patients truly are at the centre of this and we can’t do it without you! Rome wasn’t built in a day but rest assured, we are trying and we really do want to be quite simply the very best NHS GP Surgery for you!
We are calling 2022 –2023 our year of feedback as we know how important it is to gather this from patients so we can make changes and get you involved in service design. Please continue to positively and constructively engage with us—it really does make a difference!
Please also be sure to post in our new ‘Highs and Lows’ boxes at all sites—answers on a postcard quick fire feedback—the good and the bad—but we ask if you provide low feedback that you help us to understand how to make things better for you and other patients!
Self Check In Desks
We have re-introduced our self check in desks at all sites following these being switched off during covid. Please be aware that every patient who checks in on these saves approximately 3 minutes of time for our Care Navigators, compared to if you approach them to check you in at the desk. If you need any help with these desks our Care Navigators are more than happy to show you and they are super simple to use but we know it’s technology and not everyone’s cup of tea and we will still help if you need it!
Website refresh
We have completely refreshed our website to reflect changes to services following Covid-19. We greatly value your feedback.
The site contains a wealth of information for both new and existing patients about our own and local community cervices and initiatives and we post news articles regularly.
Facebook
Please don’t forget to follow us on Facebook where we post lots of health promotion information which many patients find extremely useful. Log onto Facebook and search Oswald Medical Centre and then press the follow button.
Christmas opening times
We are open every weekday from 8.00am to 6.30pm over Christmas but we will be closed for the Bank Holidays. Please use NHS 111, your local Pharmacy or 999 for emergencies during out of hours closure.
We’d like to wish all of our patients and their families a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year for 2023. Please follow us on Facebook for health information.
