The easiest way to manage your GP surgery appointments is online using the NHS App. The App is free to download and can be used on a smartphone, tablet, PC or laptop. Registration takes only a couple of minutes – download the app at www.nhs.uk/nhs-app
The practice supports a number of methods for booking appointments. We aim to make the process as easy as possible whilst ensuring that appointments are optimised to increase availability for patients. Some appointments are available to book online via the NHS App.
We have a range of appointments available and please don’t forget that we can also book appointments out of surgery hours – in the evenings and weekends.
If You Are Unwell
Check the NHS App for available appointments (not all of our appointments appear on the app, but many options are available) or telephone the surgery at 8.00am or check on the NHS App – we have both on the day and book in advance appointments available.
Non-Urgent (Routine) Appointments
We will usually send you a text, telephone or letter invitation to book annual reviews for long term conditions, immunisations and other routine care. Please telephone us after 10am, book online on the NHS App or use booking links we send to you if we have your mobile number.
How to Cancel An Appointment
Please remember to cancel your appointment if you can no longer make it or you no longer need it. This helps us to manage demand and your appointment can often be taken even at short notice by another patient. The more notice you give us though the better.
To cancel, please use the following methods:
- the NHS App www.nhs.uk/nhs-app
- our automated cancellation service through our telephone system – this option can only be used if you are calling from a telephone number we have listed on your medical record.
- Telephone us
Home Visits
- Home visits will only be given to patients who genuinely need them. If you’re unable to visit your GP surgery due to you being bed bound, you can ask for a home visit. If possible, try to call in the morning before 10.30am if you think you’ll need a visit the same day.
- Lack of transport should never be a reason for requesting a home visit.
